Sandra’s Work
Sandra is intensely interested in what we do with our lives and seeks to find this in everyday activity. She opens our eyes to the world around us, forcing us to see the familiar in a new light and take a fresh look at the world.
Using her competent drawing and painting skills, together with her photographic eye, she produces strong and compelling images of a contemporary nature, urging us to reflect on the world around us and the contrasting environments in which we now live.
Her panoramic images are produced from a series of photographs taken from many different vantage points, often along a walk or a journey. These are then ‘melded’ together to provide a single composite image, which aims to communicate a ‘sense of place’. Perhaps better described as ‘walking pictures’, for they are an amalgamation of images taken over a period of time.
